Derek’s passion for radon awareness began after discovering that a home he lived in had radon levels nearly eight times higher than Health Canada’s recommended action level. What started as a personal concern quickly became a mission to better understand radon and help others protect their homes and families.
With a strong interest in health, wellness, and creating healthier living environments, Derek believes every homeowner deserves access to reliable information and effective solutions for radon exposure. Through RadonPatrol, he is committed to making radon testing and mitigation more accessible, transparent, and trustworthy for families across Manitoba
Jared Lazarenko

Jared has dedicated his career to protecting others as a full-time firefighter, responding to emergencies and helping people through some of life’s most challenging moments. His commitment to public safety naturally led him to radon mitigation, where he saw another opportunity to help protect families from a serious but often overlooked health risk.
After experiencing elevated radon levels in his own home, Jared gained firsthand insight into the uncertainty and concern many homeowners feel when faced with a high radon result. His practical experience, attention to detail, and passion for helping others make him an integral part of RadonPatrol’s mission to create healthier homes throughout Manitoba.

As a partner and father to a young child, Alex understands the importance of creating a safe and healthy home environment for the people who matter most. His family-first perspective drives his passion for helping homeowners learn about radon and take proactive steps to reduce their exposure.
Alex believes that many families simply aren’t aware of the risks radon can pose or how easily those risks can be addressed through proper testing and mitigation. He is dedicated to educating homeowners, answering questions, and helping families make informed decisions with confidence. His goal is to ensure every family has access to the knowledge and professional support they need to protect their home and loved ones.
